Sarah Edgcumbe joined the Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor team as a research specialist in June 2020. She is a PhD student at the University of St Andrew's School of International Relations. She holds an MA in conflict studies and human rights from Utrecht University and an MA in refugee protection and forced migration studies from the University of London's School of Advanced Studies.
Sarah has worked in education in Sudan, Palestine, Iraqi Kurdistan and Kuwait, and has more recently worked in women's empowerment in Afghanistan and Iraq. Her research specialties are internally displaced person and refugee protection, everyday resistance and the interrelationship between conflict, gender and minorities.
