Michael Hart

Publications Consultant

Michael Hart is publications consultant at the Monitor. Michael is a freelance researcher, writer and editor focusing on civil conflict, peacebuilding and war legacy issues in Southeast Asia, where he has researched the impacts of landmines and other war remnants in Vietnam and Laos. He has explored these issues for publications including Asia Sentinel, World Politics Review and Southeast Asia Globe. 

He has previously researched for Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) and the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), covering conflict in Myanmar and the Philippines. Aside from his work on the Monitor he is editorial assistant for The Pacific Review journal. He studied an MA in International Relations at the University of Westminster and a BA in Human Geography at the University of Exeter.
