Somalia also receives support for mine action via funds assessed by the UN General Assembly (UNGA) for mine action as part of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). In 2013, the assessed budget for AMISOM totaled almost $44 million.[3] As of October 2015, AMISOM’s mine action budget was not available for 2014. Between 2010–2013, funding for mine action through AMISOM has accounted for 70% of all mine action funding for Somalia.

International support to Somalia’s mine action activities has fluctuated greatly since 2010, ranging from a minimum of $4 million in 2010 to a maximum of $25 million in 2012.
