Support for Mine Action

In 2016, Ireland contributed €3 million (US$3.3 million)[1] in mine action funding to six countries and one other area.

As in previous years, Ireland allocated all of its mine action support in 2016 for clearance and risk education activities.

Since 2012, Ireland has provided constant annual contributions to mine action-related activities, with an average annual contribution of some €3 million ($3.8 million).

In 2012–2016, Ireland’s contribution to mine action totaled more than €15 million (some $19 million). In comparison, in the previous five-year period from 2007–2011, Ireland’s support to mine action amounted to €20 million ($28 million).[3]
