Support for Mine Action

In 2017, New Zealand contributed NZ$7.6 million (US$5.4 million) in mine action funding. This represents a significant decrease (57%) compared to the NZ$17.9 million (US$12.5 million) provided in 2016.[1] 

New Zealand allocated a large part of its contribution—NZ$3.3 million (US$2.3 million) or 43% of its total contribution in 2017—to victim assistance activities.

From 2013–2017, New Zealand’s contribution for mine action totaled NZ$47.1 million (US$35.2 million). This is a substantial increase (47%) from the NZ$23.9 million (US$17.8million) recorded during the previous five-year period from 2008–2012.[3]
