Support for Mine Action

In 2018, the Principality of Liechtenstein contributed CHF215,000 (some US$219,000)[1] in mine action funding through the ICRC, the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), and APOPO.

As has been the case since 2014, two contributions totaling CHF150,000 ($153,312) went to the ICRC for victim assistance and risk education activities, representing 70% of Liechtenstein’s contribution. The rest of its contribution was allocated to clearance activities.

Since 2014, Liechtenstein has provided constant annual contributions to mine action-related activities, with an average annual contribution of some $223,000. This represents an 18% increase compared to the $942,113 provided in the previous five-year period from 2009–2013.
