Support for Mine Action

In 2019, New Zealand contributed NZ$13.8million (US$9.1 million) in mine action funding. This is similar to its 2018 funding level (NZ$13.2million/US$9.2 million).[1]

New Zealand reported allocating a large part of its contribution—NZ$11 million (US$7.6 million) or 83% of its total contribution in 2018—to victim assistance activities.

From 2015–2019, New Zealand’s contribution for mine action totaled about NZ$57 million (US$39million). This is a substantial increase (95% when expressed in national currency terms; 65% after conversion into US dollars) from the NZ$29.2 million (US$23.8 million) recorded during the previous five-year period from 2010–2014.
