Casualties
In 2014, no new casualties were reported in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The last reported casualties were identified in 2011: two civilian men were killed and one critically injured while handling unexploded ordnance they had uncovered.[1] Prior to this, explosive remnants of war (ERW) incidents were recorded in 2000 and 2003. Between 1999 and 2013, the Monitor identified 12 ERW casualties (five killed and seven injured) in Timor-Leste.[2]
