Support for Mine Action
In 2015, New Zealand contributed NZ$4.6 million (US$3.2 million) in mine action funding through the ICRC, UNMAS, and UNDP (for its work in Egypt).[1] This represents a drop of NZ$4.4 million ($4.3 million) compared to 2014.
The largest contribution, at NZ$2.5 million ($1.8 million), went to the ICRC for victim assistance activities, which represented 56% of New Zealand’s total contribution in 2015.

From 2011–2015, New Zealand’s contribution for mine action totaled NZ$33.8 million ($27 million). This is a substantial increase from the NZ$15.9 million ($11.1 million) recorded during the previous five-year period from 2006–2010.[3]

In September 2016, New Zealand announced it would contribute NZ$10.2 million ($7.3 million million) through UNDP to support unexploded ordinance (UXO) clearance and survey efforts in Lao PDR from 2017–2020.[5]
