In 2022, Sudan received a total of US$2 million in international mine action assistance from three donors through the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS).[1] The support was for clearance and risk education activities.

Sudan reported that it provides an annual contribution of $500,000 to its national mine action program to cover salaries and some operations.[3]

Five-year support for mine action

In the five-year period from 2018–2022, Sudan received more than $14 million in international support for mine action activities, with annual contributions during that period fluctuating from a low of $1.5 million to a high of more than $5.1 million.
