Support for Mine Action
In 2011, Luxembourg contributed €1,548,719 (US$2,157,520) in mine action funding. The largest contribution went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) (€460,886/$642,060), and the second largest went to South Sudan (€256,048/$356,700).[1] Luxembourg provided €1,000,000 (US$1,393,099) of its contribution through the UN Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF).[2]Luxembourg’s contribution in 2011more than doubled from that of 2010 (€671,149).
